Adam Driver, Forest Whitaker, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Jon Voight will star in Francis Ford Coppola's new film Megalopolis. Coppola will fund the film with his only money, with the budget set to be just under $100 million. The story is set to be: The fate of Rome haunts a modern world unable to solve its own social problems in this epic story of political ambition, genius, and conflicting interests. Production for the film will begin this fall.
Laurence Fishburne is set to join the cast as well. This has been a dream project for Coppola for over 40 years. Different casts have been rumored for this production. Just recently, Zendaya, Cate Blanchett, James Caan, and Oscar Isaac were set to be the main stars of the film.
Coppola is known for directing some of the greatest films of all time. He has directed The Godfather, The Godfather Part II, and Apocalypse Now. Coppola has won 5 Oscars for his work as a director and looks to add another one with Megalopolis.
