'Hawkeye' Episode 6 Finale Review: So This Is Christmas?

The highly anticipated finale of Hawkeye premiered today on Disney+. Fans have been waiting for this finale for a week after the picture of Eleanor and Kingpin was shown in last week's episode. Fans have been wondering Eleanor's role and why she is working with the notorious villain. We finally received those answers and have been left with some questions after this finale which could lead to a season 2. Let's break it all down.

It is revealed to us Eleanor has been working with Kingpin because her husband had some debts with him after his death. Vincent D'Onofrio looks as intimidating as ever in his fresh white suit. Clint and Kate want to find Eleanor to see why she is working with Kingpin and hired Yelena to kill Clint. Yelena has plans of her own. She wants to find and kill Clint to avenge Natasha. This is all goes down at the Bishop Security Christmas party.

Chaos ensues as Kazi from another building sees Clint at the party and tries to kill him. Clint escapes the situation and ensues the help of the Larpers to help clear the party. Kate finds her mother and questions her about the relationship with Kingpin and hiring Yelena to kill Clint. Eleanor says she only wants to protect Kate and everything she did was for her.

As all of this goes down Kate finds Yelena and tries to prevent her from finding Clint. They have a funny fight scene with Yelena escaping Kate. Clint fights Kazi and some of the Tracksuit Mafia and successfully fights them off. Clint jumps out of the window and into the Rockerfeller Christmas tree. Kate shoots down the tree with a trick arrow and helping Clint out of the tree.

Kate and Clint are now fighting together in their purple suits against the Tracksuit Mafia on the rink at Rockerfeller Center. They use a combination of hand to hand combat and trick arrows to take out the Tracksuit Mafia. Clint tells Kate to find Eleanor. Kingpin finds Eleanor first and takes her out of her car. Kate luckily arrives soon after and shoots an arrow at Kingpin. This has no effect on him at all. Eleanor drives her car into Kingpin and launching him into a store window. Kate and Kingpin have a little fight with Kingpin dominating the fight. This episode really shows Kingpin's abilities and how dangerous he can be. Kingpin gives Kate multiple chances to stop but Kate refuses and does the trick Clint taught her to do to blowup Kingpin. Kate and Eleanor reunite and Kate has Eleanor arrested for killing Armand Duquesne III and framing Jack.

Clint is on the ice when suddenly Yelena arrives. Clint tries to convince Yelena that Natasha sacrificed herself but Yelena won't hear it. Yelena and Clint start fighting with Yelena gaining the upper hand. She is about to kill Clint when suddenly she hears a whistle Natasha used to do. Clint and Yelena have an emotional conversation about Natasha and what she really did that day. Yelena decides to not kill Clint.

Maya sees Kazi and decides to fight him. She figured out his role in the death of her father. They fight and Maya gains the upper hand but doesn't want to kill Kazi. She wants Kazi to leave with her and escape Kingpin. Kazi states he can't do that and being apart of Kingpin's crew is his life. Kazi tries to kill Maya but she stabs and kills him. After Maya kills Kazi, she finds and confronts Kingpin. Kingpin tells Maya they are family and sometimes family doesn't see eye to eye. Maya pulls out a gun and shoots Kingpin with the camera cutting away. This likely means Kingpin isn't dead. It could be straight out of the comics where the bullet hits Kingpin's eyes and blinds him. We will have to wait and see.

The episode ends at the Barton home. Clint and Kate arrive there for Christmas and Clint gives Laura back the Rolex watch. It is revealed Laura was a part of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Agent 19. This could mean she is the hero Mockingbird from the comics. With all of this information and uncertainty, it is likely Hawkeye will have a season 2.

Hawkeye episode 6 delivers on exciting action courtesy of a couple of trick arrows and a conclusion that doesn't seem like a true conclusion. There are rumors of a season 2 happening but that hasn't been confirmed by Marvel. Kingpin seemed a little weak in this episode and didn't really do anything, but I fully expect him to come back with a vengeance in his next appearance. Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld were both great in this series and work well together. I am excited to see what the future is for Hawkeye and Kate Bishop.
