John Wick: Chapter 4 has finally released in theaters. The anticipation for this film has been building ever since it was announced. John Wick: Chapter 3- Parabellum was the last addition to the franchise and left fans wanting more of their favorite assassin. John Wick: Chapter 4 looks to continue the success of the John Wick franchise and establish the franchise as one of the best franchises of all time. Does it accomplish this goal? Let's find out.

John Wick: Chapter 4 is the best film in the John Wick franchise. The film stars: Keanu Reeves, Donnie Yen, Laurence Fishburne, Bill Skarsgard, Ian McShane, Shamier Anderson and Lance Reddick. In this film, John Wick is once again fighting for his freedom. The High Table refuses to grant him freedom and their ultimate goal is to kill him. We are introduced to a plethora of new characters. One of them is Marquis played by Bill Skarsgard. He is the main villain of the film. There is another character named Caine played by Donnie Yen. Caine like John Wick is an assassin looking for freedom from The High Table. Another new character is Tracker played by Shamier Anderson. He has a dog and is looking to get rich by killing John Wick. These new characters play an important role in the success of John Wick: Chapter 4.

John Wick: Chapter 4 is a film that does not take its foot off the gas. Throughout its 2 hour 49 minutes runtime, every scene in the film matters. There are no wasted moments. Whether that is an incredible action sequence or a scene of dialogue, John Wick: Chapter 4 never has a dull moment. What makes this film the best one in the franchise is how good everything is. The action sequences are the best in the franchise, the story is great, the cinematography is amazing, the camera angles are beautiful and the acting is the best in the franchise.

The action sequences of John Wick: Chapter 4 leave you in awe. You think to yourself how can this be better from previous films, but they are. An underrated part of the action sequences is the camera work. The camera work and cinematography in this film are breathtaking. It makes you feel like you're not watching violence. It's like a beautiful piece of art coming to life on the big screen. There's a particular sequence in this film that had my jaw on the floor because of how beautiful it looked. Things like this make the John Wick franchise unique. Usually action films have shaky cameras where you can't really see anything. In the John Wick franchise, the cameras are steady and smooth. You see every excruciating death even if you don't want to see it. Director Chad Stahleski deserves a lot of credit for this and the action sequences he comes up with it.

The story of John Wick: Chapter 4 is the best in the franchise. This film raises the stakes from its previous 3 films. The road for freedom is long and hard for John Wick. With a couple of people from his past now involved, things get trickier and trickier. Emotions come into play and things start to get harder and harder. The film also has the best ending in the franchise and will leave fans satisfied.

John Wick: Chapter 4 accomplishes the goal of cementing this franchise as one of the best franchises in cinema history. Unlike other franchises that flounder after multiple films, the John Wick franchise keeps getting better and better.

Grade: A+
