'The Book of Boba Fett' Chapter 4 Review: The Gathering Storm

After last week's third chapter of The Book of Boba Fett, fans were starting to wonder if it was going to meet their expectations. Last week's episode had fans divided and speculating if this show would be any good. After last week's disappointing episode, did chapter 4 live up to expectations? Let's break it down.

Chapter 4 of The Book of Boba Fett focuses on how the relationship between Boba and Fennec formed. Boba finds Fennec hurt and takes her to a modification place to save her life. Boba asks Fennec to help him find his ship and retrieve it from Bib Fortuna. Fennec agrees and uses a flying droid to help scout the palace. This helps Boba and Fennec to see how many guards are in the palace. They sneak through the storm drain and into the kitchen where they take out some droids. They head to the hangar and take out the guards. They power up the ship and Fennec opens the gate with a well timed blast and they escape.

Boba and Fennec talk on the ship and Fennec agrees to stay with Boba. Boba says he needs to handle some business regarding the Tuskens. Boba finds the biker gang that killed the Tuskens and guns them down in his ship. Boba then heads to the now destroyed Sarlacc Pit to see if his armor is there. Boba flies his ship into the pit and the Sarlacc grabs the ship and tries to bring it down. Fennec saves the day and releases one of the ship's seismic charges to kill the Sarlacc.

Boba then reveals to Fennec that he wants to take down Jabba the Hutt and take the throne. He wants Fennec to be his second in command. Fennec agrees to this and we see footage from The Mandalorian of Boba taking the throne. Boba gets out of the bacta tank and is now fully healed which means no more flashback scenes.

Boba heads to Garsa Fwip where he watches Krrsanatan beat up a group of Trandoshans. After wtaching this, Boba makes a deal with him to come work for him. Boba then sits with the crime families in his territory. He asks them for help against the Pykes but they refuse. Boba then makes a deal to have them be neutral if the Pykes ask them to betray him.

In the final moments of the episode, Boba and Fennec agree they need more muscle. Fennec says that credits can buy muscle. As she says that, we hear a familiar theme closing the episode. That theme is for The Mandalorian. We could be seeing The Mandalorian and Boba Fett fighting together against the Pykes.

This chapter was definitely better than last week's chapter. Even though we spent most of the time in the past, Boba being fully healed means we won't see the past anymore which excites me. I am happy the show will be finally focusing on the story in the present. With the potential addition of Mando into the show, The Book of Boba Fett looks to be heading in the right direction.
