The Matrix Resurrections is the newest film in The Matrix franchise. The Matrix franchise began in 1999 with the box office and critic hit The Matrix. The Matrix franchise has become a cultural phenomenon all over the world. There hasn't been a Matrix movie in 18 years after The Matrix Revolutions. The trailer for The Matrix Revolutions will be released on Thursday. But Warner Brothers decided to give us a little tease as seen below:
As a result of the trailer dropping on Thursday, Warner Brothers has created an interactive website that shows a first look of The Matrix Resurrections. The website is WhatIsTheMatrix.com. Users on this website are presented with two choices: a blue pill or a red pill, like Neo was in the first Matrix film. Clicking on each pill gives you a different look at the film. Clicking on the blue pill, you hear Neil Patrick Harris' voice explaining what the blue pill is. The blue pill is focused on reality and not fantasy. The blue pill suggests there is only one reality. The red pill is voiced by Yahya Abdul- Mateen II. The red pill suggests that what you perceive as real isn't always real. Both of the pills showcase footage from the film that will be shown in the trailer on Thursday. A full breakdown of the trailer will be released on Thursday.
The Matrix Resurrections stars: Keanu Reeves, Carrie Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, and Neil Patrick Harris. The plot is unknown at this time but it is sure to deliver on great action and an interesting story. The film will be released on December 22, 2021 in theaters and on HBO Max.
