After so many delays and setbacks the last few years, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse finally has a release date for June 4, 2027. This is the third movie in the animated Spider-Verse series focusing on Miles Morales as Spider-Man and exploring the various versions of Spider-Man and other characters with spider powers like Gwen Stacy as Spider-Woman. The upcoming movie will be a conclusion to the trilogy that started back in 2018 with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, followed by Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is being directed by Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson. Phil Lord, Chris Miller, and David Callaham wrote the script. The movie picks up right where Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse ended with Miles trying to get home and save his dad from suffering a similar fate to other police captains who are close to Spider-Man throughout the Spider-Verse. Footage was shown to attendees, with Miles taking on an evil version of himself. Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jason Schwartzman, and Karan Soni reprising their roles from the previous movie. Most of the voice cast will likely return, but it’s unknown who will be joining the cast and if other versions of Spider-Man that haven’t appeared in the movies yet will appear.
